Antifreeze coolant should be checked periodically, especially in cooler climates, as its corrosion-fighting properties decline over time. Be sure to keep it out of reach of children and animals!
Race engines can use plain water as coolant, but you can also do better. Water-based coolants with surfactants to reduce surface tension transfer heat even more efficiently, and there are waterless coolants, too. Summit also carries coolant additives that can improve the properties of your existing coolant.

Evans Waterless Coolant High Performance Coolant is a proprietary fluid with a specially-formulated inhibitor package designed for all gasoline, light-duty diesel, LP, and CNG engines. Evans is now NHRA track approved! It contains no silicates or phosphates and requires no supplemental coolant additives.
