MechMan indicator light module connectors are for use on GM vehicles with MechMan alternators and equipped with a 2-pin regulator and a RVC (Regulated Voltage Control) sensor. Simply plug module into your vehicle's factory harness and tie out of the way. This will eliminate the check charging system code (battery light). These are especially popular for the customer who wants to bypass the RVC system so that they can run a stand-alone alternator. The reason for this is that when run in the factory form on these model vehicles there will be fluctuating voltage and normally, they will charge at a lower voltage. Although this is all normal since the PCM is controlling the voltage in order to acquire max fuel economy, some will opt to go with a standalone unit to acquire a higher and more stable voltage.

MechMan voltage boost harnesses increase the charging voltage by 1.0 V. Offered individually, they fit a range of GM trucks and SUVs with oval 4-pin alternator plug. The longer blue wire gets connected to an ignition switched 12 V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with ignition. These MechMan harnesses can be modified and hardwired to ignition 12 V+ for engine swap applications where the stock alternator harness is not available. NOTE: These voltage boost harnesses are NOT for use on standard 12 V AGM batteries. The modules will increase the charging voltage by 1.0 V and will swell and damage AGM batteries. Please check with your Lithium battery manufacturer to verify the proper charging voltage before installing this module.

Offered individually as well as supplied with all MechMan hairpin alternators for a range of GM trucks and SUVs, they accept oval GM alternator plugs. MechMan alternator adapters enable you to plug an oval 4-pin late model GM alternator into a rectangular CS130 or CS144 vehicle harness. This handy little harness is required in order to install certain high-output alternators on GM trucks that originally came with a CS130 or CS144 alternator with a rectangular plug from the factory. This is common on most 1988-95 GM trucks, as well as some later models equipped with the heavy-duty charging option.

MechMan external regulator harnesses are needed to connect Mechman alternators that have been made to be compatible with their Transpo voltage regulator. These 2-pin harnesses can also be used to connect Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep alternators with the same plug to the external voltage regulator.
