Trail-Gear Fully Loaded Six Shooter Kits

After years of development and testing, Trail-Gear fully loaded Six Shooter kits have set a new standard for Toyota knuckle strength and reliability. They totally eliminate the problem of broken steering knuckles and studs. The addition of two studs in each arm effectively prevents the steering arm from becoming loose or shearing off the studs under extreme loads. The knuckle housing was designed with thicker-than-stock material, and larger gussets have been added around the outside of the knuckle for extra strength. Precision CNC-machined, each set of knuckles and steering arms are inspected and tested for the highest quality of products that Trail-Gear can deliver. These kits include a special 6-hole shim pack for use between the top of the knuckle and the steering arm assembly. A minimum of four additional steering arm studs are required for installation.

Trail-Gear Power Flow Power Steering Pump Upgrade Kits

Trail-Gear Power Flow power steering pump upgrade kits remedy a common flaw in Toyota trucks. The stock pump is just barely able to supply the volume and pressure needed to run hydraulic-assist steering—putting out 1,300 psi at only one gallon per minute. The original pump is not able to provide enough fluid to run both the stock steering and the demands of a ram, especially at low rpm. Drilling out the restrictor plates in a stock pump for more volume often leads to pump failure. The answer is a replacement "TC" style pump. This provides the full fluid volume your steering box and ram are looking for, even at idle. These kits include a 1,650 psi pump, pump bracket, reservoir, reservoir bracket, belt, fittings, hoses, and hardware. The pump kits are designed to work with stock or ram drilled IFS power steering boxes. Additional notes: * The pump and bracket are designed to fit all Toyota 4-cylinder 4WD motors from 1979-95 * A large power steering fluid cooler (included) is required on the low-pressure side of the system * Pump bracket works in conjunction with stock idler bracket * If your truck is not currently equipped with power steering, you will need to purchase the idler bracket and replace the steering gearbox with one designed for use with power steering * The stock fan belt will not work with this pump and will need to be replaced with a Napa 9430 belt. Belt is included with kit. * Note: Never use ATF fluid or a semi-synthetic blend. This will void the warranty. It's okay to use standard power steering fluid or a full synthetic.

Trail-Gear Hydraulic Smooth Body Bump Stops

Whether you are hitting the trail, or ripping through the desert, Trail-Gear Performance bump stops will allow you to get the most out of your vehicles suspension by eliminating harsh bottom outs. Offered in 2 in. and 2.5 in. body diameters, the 2.5 in. models will absorb more impact energy and are recommended by Trail Gear for vehicles over 5,000 lbs. or trucks with highly leveraged A-arms or trailing arms. Of course, both sizes are sure to improve your overall off-road experience. Trail-Gear Hydraulic smooth body bump stops are fully rebuildable, easily tunable through the Schrader valve on top, and TG's unique automatic velocity sensitive valving technology saves you time by eliminating the need to adjust shim packs. The bump stops also help prevent damage from occurring to expensive shocks and suspension components by absorbing impacts at full suspension compression. Trail-Gear smooth body, pin top bump stops are available in 2 in., 3 in., and 4 in. travel options, and can be purchased individually or in sets that will also include four 1/4 in. thick ASTM A36 steel weld-on universal mounting brackets. Trail-Gear Skid Plates

Twin transfer cases not only open up new avenues for off-roading, but make the long scary descents of the past feel like child's play. Now it's time to protect your investment with Trail Gear skid plates. These crossmember skids use 3/8 in. thick steel plate with tapered bolts to fight off the most serious abusers. They work with 4 or 5-speed manual transmissions, but are not intended for automatic transmission applications. With the extra torque of twin cases Trail Gear built these crossmembers with slotted mounting holes pre-drilled allowing a total of four mounting points instead of just two. Twin transfer cases provide ranges of reduction for everything from mud to the most extreme trails. Keep them protected with Trail Gear skid plates.

Trail-Gear Rock Assault Trunnion Bearing Eliminator Kits

Anyone who wheels hard, rock crawls, or rock races has experienced blown-up trunnion bearings; no matter what size they are using, the bearing is always the point of failure. Trail-Gear Rock Assault trunnion bearing eliminator kits totally displace the bearings with a solid "king pin" style pin that sits in a hardened bushing. The pin and bushing are made from a material considered "bearing quality" because of its high carbon content, giving it extreme hardness. To make sure these pins provide you with smooth steering, Trail-Gear has added zerk grease fittings and machined the pins with grease passages and grooves--so they can be easily lubricated without any disassembly of the steering knuckle. Kits include: * Four steering pins * Four steering pin bushings * Four zerk grease fittings * Two trunnion bearing caps * One knuckle service kit
